Great video. Thanks for posting. My first reaction was that he beats JMM. But then I started thinking about JMM at fw as a risk-averse boxer, but with the killer instinct and then I started thinking about JMM/Pacquiao 1 and The Mexicutioner on a roll eating up MAB and EM. I start thinking about JMM moving up in weight and becoming a brawler for the money. I think about how Sanchez looked in that vid and on the couple of ocassions I've watched his fights on the web (the eye test) at his best and the fights I've seen El Dinamita at his best (the eye test) and though I'm willing to admit I know less than some around here, I'm not sure who wins in the land of mythical fights.

Sanchez died when he was 23 years old, we most likely didn't see him at his peak/best yet all these years later he is talked about.

That to me is greatness, if boxing fans are still talking about you 35 years after your death then you have to be great.

Unfortunately but not surprisingly, very often the stubborn reluctance to give Canelo credit isn't based on an unbiased opinion. It is very often based on a knee-jerk sociologically programmed response instead. Especially when the evaluation is coming from north of the Mexican border where ethnic and racial hatreds run rampant and skewer people's reasoning abilities.

I would take Nelson over those 3 at featherweight in a second. Physically, he was clearly tougher than they were. As far as Gomez is concerned, not only is he considered the greatest 122 pounder in history- a division that MAB and EM were very active in, the close to prime 126 pound Gomez only lost to 2 clear atgs in Chava and the Professor at 126.
