    Because it's irrelevant.

Ahead of which one of the following?

    McCallum
    Hearns
    Jackson
    Norris
    Trinidad
    De La Hoya
    Benvenuti
    Wright

Guys like Benitez and Leonard would've beaten him convincingly as well.

but tito's career at 154 was 3 fights long. i would rate vargas higher based on the fact that his whole career was fought at 154

becuse people remeber his losses at higher weight and forget just how destructive he was at 154

Tito clearly proved to be the better fighter in their bout, which is why I rank him higher. I don't like ranking based on accomplishments with a division like this simply because nearly every fighter who's been among the most effective at the weight has fought elsewhere as well. I base it on who the most effective fighters were.

Where would you put Davey Moore. A Vargas vs Moore would have been great. Winning the title at his 9th fight and his managers making a mistake of putting him in with Duran on I believe his 12th or 13th fight.

Hearns was the best 154 pound fighter. He fought Benitez and Duran at this weight and beat champion Benitez by outboxing him in a great fight in 1982, and then destroyed fellow champ Duran at the same weight in 1984

Tito didn't prove clearly, hadn't he hit Vargas' balls in the 4th round when he was hurt I'm not sure he wouldn't be KOed.

Jesus Christ, first it's the tito handwraps , now is the hit in the balls excuse. Give the guy some credit for once. Come on.
