Brisbane featherweights Wally (Richmond born) and brother Ollie TAYLOR ought to get a mention:

Elder brother Wally went 21 wins, 5 losses and a draw. Best wins were probably Pravisani, Copeland and an on-the-comeback, but 7 years past it, Carrothers.

Ollie Taylor went 12 fights before incurring his only losses to Allotey and Fammo in his 11 wins, 2 losses and a draw. His record also includes an Olympic bronze medal.

BoxRec has Clive listed as being born 30th October 1936. They don't have a second date showing (which has gotta be a good sign!).

Just a late addition to the Gattelari family.... 'Australian Ring', Boxing Record Book 1960, lists Tony Gatterlari as a prelim boy, having commenced his career in 1956 and contesting in 27 bouts to July '59. Only one 8 rounder in that period. Incredible.

    Ringrat knows his stuff.
BoxRec records the two brothers from the Broken Hill area. Circa 1890's .

Good to see an old Couldhavebeen thread getting another run.
If you're reading this CHB all the best. :good

always thought nathan briggs had the same hard hitting/ heart/chin as paul , but he was often out of condition for most of his fights and never gave it a real go

No offence but Ben was a protected species, once he stepped up in the pros he got defeated, for example, when he fought Darren Barker in the UK he lost every single round due to his diet of fighting blokes with a string of losses in order to padd up his record. I beat him as an amateur and i did it fairly easy, didnt even break a sweat and no offence to ben, just saying. His brother was alot better but injurys put him into retirment.

Very unlike you Ty to reply to a post and then somehow turn it around so that you become the focus of the discussion. {humility has never been your strongest point]
Any footage of said fight you'd like to post ?
Been very peaceful round here without you. I was hoping you'd been banned.

peaceful ? the only time this place gets exciting is when im posting ;) Do u really want to see me beating Ben up as an amateur? it was yrs ago. And im not the only person who will say that he was a protected species, just go check his record and the guys he had fought, all of them had a string of losses.

The Janssen brothers Mark and Brian were pretty handy in their day

So were the McElwaine brothers (3 of them I think). One was a Commonwealth Games gold medallist. Alas they're probably mostly known for their involvement in the Milperra bikie massacre of 1984 :patsch
