I haven't made a thread in ages. Years maybe. So obviously I needed a serious subject that has weighed heavy on my mind. Let's get a consensus to 5 bald boxers of all time. I know this will be controversial. Where does the line between bald and shaved head begin or end? That's not easy to answer. Is Floyd Mayweather bald? He hasn't had hair for years but is that a personal choice. Is James Toney hairless or just lazy? So many deep questions but not a lot of answers. Will any white fighters make the list. Some names Marvin Hagler (the obvious number 1) Evander Holyfield (Holyfield with hair was alright- bald Holyfield was a warrior with his best weapon unsheathed) Jack Johnson (the prototype; a truly magnificent head) Earnie Shavers (his nickname was based on his dome; a truly bald fighter) Bennie Briscoe (Bald Bennie Briscoe, Bad Bennie Briscoe, all alliteration, all afternoon)
A couple of Foreman mentions but when I think of him, I think of a young Foreman. I just don't think he's bald enough.
LOL as a kid I had a theory that the less hair a fighter had, the better he was. Also, a moustache counted extra.
Is it your confusion about whether SNV qualifies or not, due to his mightily impressive chest and body hair
That guy has so much body hair that you almost can't call him bald, despite his blowing a few feathers up top. There's simply too much acreage with hair. It's like he wrapped himself in a bearskin rug.
