Tunney? Good question. I might well have become a boxer (or seriously attempted to) were I not dissuaded by a family friend.

Mayweather? But should we really count the family of already highly successful fighters?

Same here. If I had way less to lose I'd have gone through with it.

I was thinking maybe Corbett and Carpantier too, but Tunney is probably better than both.
I'm sure the best answer is someone I'm not thinking of.

For me the worst part is not the life unlived (I like how my life is turning out) but the wondering how good (or bad) I would have been. I'd give all the money presently in my bank account just for a video playlist of all my fights that take place in a parallel universe.

Socialist Oligarchies did have different standards of living not to western standards but there was a wealth class not sure we can call their middle class true middle class...but I served with some former socialist Russia soldiers who came to the U.S. and joined ours and told me that with rank came privilege.

I had the misfortune of living near the Minters in the 80s, alcohol saw the end to any decent money Boom Boom may have made, he lived in the roughest part of a working class town (Crawley).

He has since sorted himself out and lives in a decent-ish part of Surrey, but when Ross was growing up, the Minters were troubled financially and mentally.
