Okay, you bookended your list with actual weak punchers, but after Maxie you rattle off three consecutive average hitters (at worst) - by no means were Ali, Holmes or Holyfield on the particularly weak side of HW power, historically (nor were they massive bangers - literally dead center, the whole trio). And then...Benny Leonard? Verdict: you're trolling, or have a LOT to learn... (if you're indeed 20, probably the latter)
I agree but they were not KO artist but boxers who needed accumulation of punches to KO someone. Even Foreman said Ali didn't hit hard at all. Chuvalo said even Patterson punched Harder and Pattersin was LHW.
Chuvalo said that Patterson puncbed harder than Ali and Patterson was LHW. Jones,Terrel and Frazier also stated that Foster who was also LHW punched harder than Ali. Ali was really feather fisted
idk what to tell you, Floyd Patterson is a hard heavyweight puncher, small or not. Ditto for the Deputy Sherriff. If that all is your sole basis for saying Ali was weak, well - we're probably not going to get very far debating here.
No one said Ali was not strong man with iron chin but was really feather fisted. Patterson hard puncher? How many HWs he stopped? How many LHWs he stopped? Hurricane Jackson and ancient Moore are his best wins.
