Greatest British Boxer Ever

How the hell does Berg have 3 votes while Driscoll, Welsh, and Lynch haven't picked up a single vote between the 3 of them? 3 people really think Berg was the greatest British fighter of all time?

 

Yep. Benn's one of my favourites too, but like you said, not top 10.

I'm inclined to agree. Even though he badly underachieved in proportion to his talent, Conteh still beat Finnegan x2, Ahumada, Lopez, Schmidtke, Rondon, Bennett and Hutchins as well as taking MSM to the brink when he was only a shell of his old self.

Still, he pissed his gifts down the drain if any man ever did.

I was half-wondering that myself.

If Driscoll doesn't get at least one vote I'm gonna be pretty dissapointed with this forum. The guy was probably a top 5 Featherweight of all time.

 

I've loads of love for all of them, including Benny, but the question was who was the best British boxer ever and my pick is Ruby Robert.

Driscoll is superb even watching on film you cannot be unimpressed the guy is a magician better than Paul Daniels. One of the best pure boxers i have seen definitly.

Definitly a top tier Featherweight i read a report of the Attel fight and he seemed to win a close but clear fight that underlines his ranking for me.
