Benn was beaten at 160 by Watson and Eubank. Bugner never won a world title and neither did Farr.

Seriously? Calzaghe wa one of the greatest British boxers of all-time, Conteh always had a damaged right hand and relied mainly on his lead hand.

Calzaghe has two fights of any meaning at LHW. Trying to present him as the greatest British LHW of all time is a complete waste of my time.

You're probably just doing your head to head thing again but that is clearly not what Bit asked.

Mark's 100% right about Nigel Benn though.
Benn wasn't even the top British middleweight of his era. I have him #4 in his own era at 160, behind Graham, Watson, Eubank.

Are you sure Welsh? Welsh beat Benny Leonard, amongst many great wins.

Fair enough, but I feel Duran was better than Leonard.

Maybe, a lot of people said Conteh threw away his prime though.

There's a fair argument for that, but winning is definitely better than losing

Calzaghe's prime was NOWHERE NEAR LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT.

He had TWO FIGHTS OF MEANING at light-heayvweight.

Conteh could have snorted one long line of cocaine from his dressing room to his corner for every single fight he had and he'd still rank above Calzaghe at LHW.

    Two fights?

I wouldn't class the Jones fight as a fight of meaning.

I think Jones was number six for that fight, but I couldn't say for sure.

    Welsh beat
    Cross
    White
    Ritchie
    Leonard
    Wolgast
    Rivers
    Dundee
    Nelson
    Thompson
In 87 fights he was stopped once ,by probably the greatest the greatest Lightweight ever Leonard.
    Nobody is, "tearing him apart".
