I think the line should go from the red corner to the blue corner, and when the bell rings Conteh and Calzaghe have to snort their way across the ring until they meet in the middle. Whoever snorts more wins the round. Then they go back to their corners for champagne, while topless ring girls with 1978 hairdos set up the next line. The rule set might favour Conteh slightly but Calzaghe is not exactly unpractised in these dark arts.

We’ll Mark, that’s a revelation that Conteh broke his right hand and had problems there after, I didn’t know that! You described him as a “one handed fighter” and that being the reason you had Calzaghe over him at light heavy. He was a fine all round boxer fighter who did have problems after breaking his right hand, that doesn’t define his career though. So, do you think a one handed Calzaghe could have beaten Lopez or went 15 post prime with Saad leading until getting tagged late on?
True, Berg fixed, it's just that he always gets thrown in along with Kid Lewis. Mills could beat both C ockell and Finnegan, so know real worries there, R Turpin, was a short lived hero, not a True Great, as many before him and after him were as good or better, beginning with his own brother Dick. Kudo's for his expert night of Boxing against C ockell though, his best ever display, a great text book fight for both really. forgot Len Harvey, arguably Britain's GREATEST Ever. fixed him in too.
I like your list but I'd have John Conteh in place of Joe Calzaghe at Lt.Heavy. Joe's optimum weight was at 168lbs. He's certainly the best Brit in that particular division and one of the top 5 all time.
You are entitled to your own choices I was just saying I had reservations about a couple of them.Mills in particular I think was overated, I'm confident Conteh would beat him up.
No but Calzaghe would have beat both those fighters two-fisted, because he threw so many fast combo`s.
he was NO Stylist that's for sure, but he was Tough as they come and he probably took more Pain to get a Victory than most Top men in Boxing, but he did & more often than not he got the Win. Proved himself against a good few Bigger men, which can't be said of too many fighter from the 70s onward... But I hear you.
