You should have watched some footage of a fighter before you starting talking about them.

Yup a handful of title defenses against limited opposition makes you one of the greatest white fighters over the last 30 years.

    Thanks buddy.

It seems like you're saying that Whites who are smaller is due to poverty and when they're more affluent they grow bigger. That's absurd. Caucasians in general are big people, Eastern Euro's and Scandanavians especially so. Asians and Latinos are more prevelant in lower weightclasses because, in general, they're smaller.

Well you still need to explain his body of work.

Since i do not know much about him explaining why he is great could at least make me see both sides of the coin.

FYI Hamed is an Arab. Not the same thing as South Asian. South Asians are caucasians (in the northern part of the subcontinent) and Dravidian in the Southern part.
Hamed being an arab is a semite similar racial group to jews.

Spud1, I don't expect you to take what I'm about to say in because it doesn't seem to be in your nature to listen but I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt.

    1. I never said Buchanan was a great fighter. I never implied he was a great fighter.
    2. I never said Cotto was All-Time Great. I never implied he was an All-Time Great.

I would challenge you to prove otherwise but it'd be pointless because I know what I said.

There you go again, you really did, I cant take anything you say seriously.

You throw around ATG status to a fighter like your giving pies out.

But its typical that you change everything you say because you cant prove it.

Okay, go produce a quote from me where I claim Cotto is an ATG.

Whilst your at it, produce a quote from this thread where I say Buchanan is a great fighter.

    ...I'll wait.

You think JMM is an ATG.

The cotto claim or ATG was in another thread.

In this thread you hinted that he is great.

I've actually been campaigning the opposite the last two days. Go check out my thread on the Classic Forum.

I was misunderstood the whole time. I was saying that Marquez wasn't an ATG and I compared his resume to Miguel Cotto to back up my reasoning, as if to say Miguel Cotto is nowhere ATG status, but his resume is comparable to that of a Juan Manuel Marquez. People jumped the gun and thought I was making a case for Cotto, and all the time I was trying to tell them that wasn't the case, they weren't listening. Same old ****, Spud.

No, I didn't. I'll be frank, you don't come across as the kind of poster who looks at old fight footage daily. I guessed you had only seen one fight of Bunchanan's in which he lost to arguably the greatest Lightweight ever, and I felt that it's a little shady to be making judgments about a fighter you haven't properly looked at. I've done the same thing in the past and I was found out, and I learned from it. You don't have to act so hostile towards every single query thrown at you.

Good points bud but the part about poverty. I cant speak for some European countries but alot of American's including whites are living in poverty we are in a depression and I think it could possibly lead to more American's black and whites trying to fight their ways out of it. So I wouldnt be shocked in the next 10-15 years to see more white american fighters succeed in all weight classes. The last 20 years there hasnt been to many whites even making a serious try at boxing because lets be honest boxing is a poor mans game its not that whites cant do well its proven over and over including now that they can with the European fighters and occassionally white American like Malignaggi or Pavlik.
