Yey he is underrated and probably the 3rd best white guy over the last 30 years. If you consider Tszyu white hes 2nd.

An obvious 1st is Fenech i dont know why more people havent mentioned him:-(

Ps Hatton is underrated and id rate him on par with Mitchell.

You said small caucasians dont do well in the light weightclasses?? Well to be honest i cant think of any great white guys in the last 30 years in the heavier weight classes.

Ps if i you take into consideration that Pazienza moved up to SM to win titles then you could make a case for him being higher, but since this is only for welter and under he just misses the cut.

 

i dunno if id classify fenech as white exactly- he s from a mauritian or maltese background, but as ethnic as they come. here in australia- he wasnt considered a white aussie- and was called a wog (like a guido) all the time. He d be offended to be considered white to be honest, calling fenech white is like calling Duran a ******* redneck.

For me, he dosent technically qualify as a caucasian , more like meditteranian or european or something.
