Chuvalo-Shavers in 1972 would have been something to see. George still had enough to produce a highly credible showing in the Ali rematch, while Earnie was able to beat Rondon over the ten round distance at this time. What would Chuvalo have said about the power of Shavers?

:patschOh man, that reminds me of the only champion to win over 100 fights without ever being floored. Duilio Loi's name has incredibly not come up yet, and his should have been among the very first mentioned.

I think Locche and Jimmy Young deserve honorable mention. Yes, they were defensive geniuses, but they could also take a shot to both chin and body. In 136 fights, Locche was only stopped by a cut in the rematch with Cervantes, over his emotional and vehement protests. That bout absolutely should not have been stopped, and there's no way Cervantes would have been able to force Locche into submission.

Marion Wilson... he was a limited fighter who fought many big punchers, check out his resume and keep in mind that he blocked most shots with his chin.

I agree with you on all three chins you've named...and to them I must add Billy Graham, Juan LaPorte and Wayne McCullough...names that probably get mentioned every time the subject of great chins comes up, but nevertheless, here they are again.

I'll also include Monzon, Hagler and Marciano..as well as Gene Tunney and a surprise call of Willie Pastrano, who was never decked by a head shot.
