I rewatched that fight last night and honest to God, I rewinded that part 5 times. Duran worked every single inch of Leonard's body when he was against the ropes. And he threw every shot from a different angle. Masterful.

Yeah....well Jones wasn't actually trying then, which is what makes it so sad.

I remember people saying Jones didn't fight punchers. Hall was like 24-1 with 23 KO's or something silly like that. And he fought DM rather closely.

Oh yeah, and Jones had trouble with southpaws his whole career (mentioned after the Tarver fight, since now people could say everything Tarver did could ALWAYS be done to Jones)

Watch at 3:15 (and the whole video for that matter). There will never be another Ali.

Amazing, was Richard Hall getting beat like this the whole fight and wasn't going down?

    look about 2:20

McCline-Byrd 8 hit combo. mcCline had used his hieght and wieght to out hustle byrd and in the later rounds byrds corner told him to go at him and win every round. and byrd did so he dug to the body alot and slowed mcline down to a snails pace and then dropped stupid amount of shots on his head. as much as people dont like byrd he could be viscous and spiteful. every shot in the later rounds had venom on them

That was awesome. Flowed so seamlessly.

And yeah, the stuff he was dealing out to Hall was also ridiculous. RJJ could really string those combos together.

Mayweather's combinations against Gatti were also highly slick. I think at one point he even landed three/four straight rights in a freakin' row. Then there's Leonard's combo against Hearns (I forgot the round, sadly) where Hearns actually goes stumbling across the ring after the last punch. Leonard also hit Mayweather Sr with a beautiful combo to get a TKO, and the flurries when he was against the ropes in the Hagler fight were impressive. Ali's combo against Brian London is, as was pointed out, frightening -- so were the rapid bombs he landed on Cleveland Williams.
