Great contender, won the vacant WBC Title on May 25 1974 in Monte Carlo, Monaco with a 7th round KO of Bad Bennie Briscoe after champion Carlos Monzon declined to give him a title shot following his 7th round TKO of Welterweight Champion Jose Mantequilla Napoles in Paris, France. Later they would have two fights, Monzon winning both. But Valdes defeated Briscoe on points on Nov 5 1977 to win the vacant undisputed title, then lost it to Hugo Corro on points in San Remo, Italy on April 22 1978 by decision.

Outstanding fighter. Unfortunately, winning the title is what disqualifies him here.

I am not sure if, Nate Bolden and Steve Mamakos.
Nate beat Tony Zale twice and Jake Lamotta
Jake said in Raging Bull book, Nate was a cutesy hard to hit, and made my face look like it went through meat grinder.

Nate fought eight Champions. Great work you're accomplishing, keep it up

Bogash, McCarron, Bolden and Mamakos all added. Also, I couldn't help myself and added Bobby Boyd, Rory Calhoun and Florentino Fernandez. This is too addicting.
