Spot on with both All Time and Current. Exactly the 6 I would put in there.

    Just to name a few:
    Floyd Mayweather
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Marco Antonio Barrera
    Bernard Hopkins
    Joe Calzaghe
    Pernell Whitaker
    Roy Jones Jr.

There are a lot of great counter punchers, but it is hard to pick THE greatest.

i wouldnt count joe calzaghe in there as his counter punching skills are hardly shown in the amount of fights he has , he is a fighter which is always on the pressure not under it even when he is under pressure he performs this all out slug styler of fighting!

I'll name two from out of left field, Livingston Bramble and Victor Galindez. Bramble was basically a counterpuncher who protected his head rather well with his high guard and his body with his arms and elbows, and he was adept at countering, like he did against Ray Mancini both times. Galindez fought somewhat similarly, in covering up on the ropes and countering with wide, looping hooks. He did very little leading, which with his strength and potential power, you would expect him to do, and countered mostly.

Whoops, I forgot, I'm in the General Forum and not Classic! Many General Forum fans might not know, or be too familiar with Bramble or Galindez.
