Probably an unpopular pick, but Roy Jones was not getting hit much in his prime.

Seems like the Mt. Rushmore of defensive fighters goes to Pep, Locche, Whitaker, and Mayweather.

Benitez on his A-game had a better defense than Floyd.

Floyd was just the far more consistent of the two, but I don't think any fighter in history had as good as defensive reflexes as a focused Benitez.

My 3 favorite fighters of all time are Tito, Marvin and Pep. There are documentaries and full Pep fights on YT. The guy was absolutely sensational. You could pick him up in a time machine and bring him to today and he`d still be a world champion today. Incredible and timeless fighter.

No. Floyd just made it boring. His defense was basically hold when the ring got cut off or slip a shot and runaway and pot shot on the run for 12 rounds.

Yes, Pirog is good defensive boxer, that's a good shout btw. The guy is good in controlling rhythm.

Chris John is also one that known for his highly-skilled defensive capability.

I agree with that, on his best night, I don't think that there is a fighter as aware as Benitez.
