Who would you consider the greatest unorthodox fighter of all time, i.e., the fighter who had a style that would never be taught - actually discouraged - in the gym?

    How about Pea?

I mean, imagine trying to copy his defensive weaving with arma held low without his talent. KO for sure!

    Prime ALi!

Dancing around a guy like Liston who could kill you with one clean punch is badass!

Pretty sure you could never teach anyone to fight like Michael Spinks.

Prince for sure... also RJJ and Sam Soliman (even tho he got his butt kicked for it)... and Pacman

  12. Naseem Hamed. Was riduclous how badly he'd lose his balance throwing those hug looping leaping shots. But his power was just intense enough to get away with it.
    Him moreso than anyone.
I would say Rjj and Sweet Pea close behind.

I love Roy, but I hate watching him fight. Not because of his entertainment value, but because of the stuff he does in the ring. I always watch him and then go out and try doing some of the stuff he does and get messed up

Well, sure, but that was just the way his body moved. He was actually a supremely organised, technically sound fighter. Purely on fundamentals he'd be a good one to follow. It was his thick, tree-trunk legs that made for such gangly movement with his tall frame. Very awkward to watch (until you get a feel for him) when you combine those static legs with his fluid upper body, but the legs are what allowed him to punch with such amazing torque.
