    Fantastic article in this weeks Boxing News on Carlos Monzon.All the usual stuff is there but what i found fascinating is 3 mythical match ups and the writers opinion of the outcome.They were Monzon beats Greb widely on points,beats Srr by close decision while marginally preferring Haglar.Do you agree?

    Monzon is the greatest MW of all time in terms of greatness, and H2H ability.

    No questioning that for me.

    He beats both men.

    His being overrated as fighter is largely compensated by being one of the greatest punchers ever. The man would have knocked out many HWs of the past and of today. Never seen so much power in a MW.

    Surely Monzon, Hagler and Leonard were superior to him as technique and sometimes he couldnt handle well his power (even Lewis was about to knock himself down/out with an uppercut against Holy)... anyway he was one of the most impressive MW I ever seen.

    Wrong forum.

    Monzon was the master of timing and distance and maximising straight punches, great ring general. But I do wonder how he'd fare against all kinds of super beasts and super talents like Ketchel, Greb, Hagler, Hearns, Mugabi, Nunn, Jones etc
