I'm just thinking, who could you list as probably the greatest fighter ever to lose a high percentage of their fights. Whether that be robberies, fair losses that they made up for with outstanding wins elsewhere in their career and so on.

Think of it as like a ratio, between how great they are (how high they deserve to be ranked as a fighter) and how many losses they accumulated on their records basically.
And why did they lose so much? Why do they still rank so highly?

In terms of the top candidate I struggle to look past Evander Holyfield

Ezzard Charles and Kid Gavilan were the first two to come to mind.

Golovkin would probably come close to killing him then.

I don't think that Zivic lost a single fight due to disqualification.

No I'm only saying I agree about Zivic having the most loses. I'm a big Zivic fan. The little bit I can find of him on film he looks good.
Hes just the first guy I thought of with alot of loses 65 I believe. I know nothing about DQ's or anything of that nature. I dont know anything off the top of my head about Langfords record.
I should have been more clear lol

If the question is which world title holder lost the highest percentage of his fights, then our man is Francisco Quiroz… the only champ who, so far, has finished his career with a negative record. He lost 15 of his 28 pro bouts (a little over 53%).
