Is Tito the greatest example? His power seemed to completely disappear at MW.

    Thoughts?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. The difference in his punching power at superfeatherweight and at welterweight is very clear.

    JOPPY??

The other fights, Hopkins and Wright, he couldn't land a punch so his power was redundant.

I completely dissagree. Eveyone seems to think this, and they're mistaken. Go watch his fights at 130. From the Pep fight on(which is when he started fighting legit fighters) most of his stoppages were the result of corner or ref stoppages. In many of the cases, the fighter looked like he could continue, but was hopelessly behind. I remember Floyd fought this one guy at 130 at was pasteing the guy with power shots. He was landing at a 60% clip. The guy still kept coming. After the 7th round, the fighter was taunting Mayweather saying, "no punch, no punch". For some reason the corner stopped the fight anyway.

At 147 Floyd has had 4 fights and 2 of them ended in stoppages. In both those stoppages, it was clear the other fighter couldn't continue. Against Judah, Zab was getting busted up so bad that he had to cheat to avoid being stopped. Iron chinned, 160 lb. Baldo was the only guy unphased by Floyd's power. If pay close attention to Floyd's career, you'll see he changed his style up against N'Dou. He became more flat footed in order punch with more power and create more exciting fights.

Joppy yeah. But i'm watching the Tito/Winky fight and he's simply punchless. That is a stark contrast to his one punch KO power days at WW. It's like someone took away his power. And it took him countless flush shots just to chop down Mayorga. And obviously Hopkins is another example. He just looks like a different fighter in terms of power at MW versus WW.

Trinidad was coming off like a two year layoff against Winky, he was bound to have lost some steam. Hopkins is an iron chinned, defensive master. No way in hell Tito was going to hurt him.

That's not true. Tito had KOed Mayorga before fighting Winky. He was heavily favored also.

Mayweather was never a power-puncher, not even at 130, he was just a much better offensive fighter in general, much more offensively oriented, which lead to a lot more KO's due to accumulation of punishment than at higher weights, where he's a lot more defensively oriented.

I mean does anyone else agree about Tito or am i the only one? This guy was killing people at WW and guys were just falling off when he hit them and he moves up to MW and he doesn't even have power let alone the devastating one punch KO power he had at WW.

Mayorga, his power at 154, 160 and 164 is way weaker than at 147

He took Joppy out in 5, a fighter with little skill but known for his toughness. He just faced better competition there, and thus was unable to effectively use his power.
