The guy who dropped #5 p4p Corrales 5 times (and Corrales had never shown evidence of a weak chin before the Mayweather fight), or the guy who couldn't stop rather weak-chinned Zab Judah in 12 rounds?

He was moving pretty much the whole fight against Corrales. He did not fight flat footed in that fight. Also, let's not act like Corrales is some iron jawed fighter. He was dropped 11 times in his career. His chin was weaker than Zab's. Zab is also a smaller and more illusive target.

This is the type of response I expected. However if you watched his fights from N'Dou until Judah, I'm sure you would agree that he was more aggresive and fought more flat footed. You would also agree that was the best stretch of his career in terms of exciting fights.

The fact that he didn't fight flat-footed would be more impressive in that he was able to floor Corrales so often, no?

That's because he was fighting guys like Corley, Bruseles, Gatti, and Mitchell.

I agree with you for the most part. However, I think you would agree that he was more aggresive and less defensive minded in that stretch from N'Dou untill Judah than he was at 130 and also in his first 3 fights at 135.

It was very impressive. That doesn't change the fact that he was generating more power in his punches at the end of his career at 135 as well as 140 and his first 2 fights at 147.

He was fighting guys of that quality at 130 and wasn't able to do that type of damage.

"oscar dela hoye, cant punch for **** as a middleweight."

This is an amazing example because he had massive power at 147 and below. And he certainly could (and did) KO guys at the 154 weight class. Sturm and Hopkins could eat his shots at 160 without much to worry about.

Tito did also blitz Joppy which has never been done before or since that fight. He did the same to Cherifi who was never a world beater, but was also never annihilated in that fashion facing good middleweight comp before. Hopkins and Wright are defensive masters with solid beards and I think Tito's power did diminish a bit as is natural, but he was also fighting bigger men who were used to middleweight punches. I do think Joan Guzman is a prime example as he was a buzzsaw at 122 and has yet to really seriously even hurt anyone at 130. Oscar was a another good example as he hit sturm with some nice clean left hooks to no avail and sturm was later KOed by a former jr middle champion.

You must be joking. He murdered Joppy at 160.

Bob Foster was powerful at light-heavyweight and not so powerful at heavyweight.
