Just re-watched Morales/Barrera 1 for the first time in a while, That fight was unbelivable. The greatest of all time in my opinion, two prime ATGs going toe to toe like that is something that happens one in a lifetime.

Some of the exchanges there was brutal, i cant belive there was only the KD in the 12th, which was more of a push. Barrera would push Morales to the ropes and the would bouth slug it out, Unbelivable.

Barrera won that fight no doubt, i had him up by 3 rounds. Some of the rounds where hard to score but Barrera was the one applying the pressure and got in the cleaner shots. But credit to both warriors, Amazing fight.

I've just watched Round 5 and it was 5. That is round of the year material. Who is commentating on that video? One of the guy sounds like a slightly older Brandon Rios.

3 rounds is too many to give MAB the fight by.

Interestingly I scored the 2nd fight clearly to Morales... IMO it was a stistch decision to setup the trilogy and to make more $$$$$

Agree with OP on all points, including the scoring.

If MAB won 3 of the first 6 boxing and ALL of the back half of the fight brawling, how does Erik come out the winner in that fight?

I actually can't remember how I scored these fights. They were all very very close, even the last one by my card despite Barrera having the clearer rounds in my opinion.

    I had it:
    1. Barrera
    2. Morales
    3. Barrera

Probably my favorite fight and I thought Barrera deserved the nod as well, his rapid fire combinations were unreal, but Morales was definitely tough.

I thought Barrera pulled it out. Second best fight I've ever seen, the first being Corrales vs. Castillo I, IMO.

I can't rate it higher than Castillo-Corales.... close but I just can't. I just think back to how I reacted to the fights when I watched them live.
