Greatest Fight of All Time: Morales v Barrera

Depends a lot on what kind of fighting you prefer... I love both Chico and JLC, but I prefer a lot of tactical moving, jabs, setting traps, long combos, 1-2 step around 1-2 again type fights. Corrales-Castillo could have been fought in a phone booth, neither one would take a step back so they just stood in the center and tried to burn each other down.

 

boxing will never die when you have fights like this to look back on

For me it's the best fight I ever watched live. It still gets my heart pumping watching round 5 when Barrera came back after taking some shots. Simply amazing. The scoring of the first 2 fights was poor as the wrong guy won but the third was Barrera. So it all worked out true.

Their first fight should be under the word 'epic' in the dictionary

 

My favorite fight ever it was so great that not even the bad decision was able to ruin it.

 

The fight was so epic that a mexican guy who took bets for morales in the arena gave back his winnings saying he didnt want to ruin the pureness of the bout.

All fights were close, the 3rd one was the closest you could score it a draw.

every time someone ask me for a great fight this one comes to my mind first- along with gatti-ward I and corrales-castillo I.
i was a rooting for morales but after that fight i became a barreras fan.

 

:good Barrera had some of the most fluid and beautiful combination punching I've ever seen.

 

Diego Corrales vs Jose Luis Castillo 1 is better IMO and the greatest ever!!
