What is the most historic fight that ever took place on the undercard of another bout?

Too right, and Weaver - Dokes II is a very underrated Heavyweight rumble.

Back in the days when Don King undercards were stacked. I highly doubt we'd see a fight like Fenech-Nelson on an undercard these days. It'd be a PPV main event with a shitty card underneath it. I must say though, I thought the undercard for Mayweather-Hatton looked alright turned out **** though

You're probably right Pat. Holmes - Cooney had Page - Berbick, Gomez - Meza i think, Shavers - Tillis, Eddie Davis - Murray Sutherland, i mean how often are you going to see that sort of **** :yikes

Edit - Gomez - Lopez sorry

Gomez-Pintor was the undercard of Hearns-Benitez, and stole the show.

That was the first to come to mind.

Here are some others that might have not been "historic", but ones that were very good.

    Kevin Kelley-Derrick Gainer I
    Jorge Castro-John David Jackson I
    Frankie Liles-Tim Littles II
    Simon Brown-Maurice Blocker
    Jorge Arce-Hussein Hussein I
    Jhonny Gonzalez-Isreal Vasquez
    Clifford Etienne-Lawrence Clay-Bey

A bit different angle: Dick Tiger met Terry Downes in a down the bill 6-Rounder in England.
    Later both became world champions.

It's hard to believe with today's undercards, but it's a testament to the stacked prime-time mega-cards of the late 70s and early 80s that Hagler-Antuofermo I was not a main event -- it was the semi-final to Leonard-Benitez.

And if you stayed home instead of going to Vegas to see the fight live, your TV undercard also included a nice brawl from another location: Eddie Mustafa Muhammad vs. Victor Galindez.

Wasn't it Marvin Johnson vs. Victor Galindez?

It is a tough when King was at his best, because many bouts were surely considered co- main events.

    Take Revenge the rematches

    You had:

    Brown/NorrisII
    Nelson/LeijaII
    McClellan/JacksonII
    Lopez/Gaurdia

And then I suppose the for the record Main event:

    Chavez/RandallII
