    All that fight proved to me was just how superior to Oscar Pernell was in a p4p, prime v prime & ATG sense.

    That was an even fight, Whitaker was better than DLH both at their best.

    No doubt about that. However to beat such a game Pernell Whitaker at your first shot at the 147 is quite a big achievement, especially when its the first time you face someone who isn't an good style matchup for you as fighter. A great win by any means in my opinion. Now while we do know the weight shouldn't make that much of a difference seeing as Oscar would be brilliant at 147, it was the weight at which he lost a lot of his one punch knockout power and to deal with that in your fight at 147 against someone as good as Pete, when one punch power is such an integral part of your game is going to bring up problems (which it did in his fight with Pete).

    Pete is the best fighter since Leonard and Duran, no doubt in my mind about it.

    pacquiao = catch weight / retiree king ODLH 147 - Cotto 143 - hatton washed - margarito washed - shane washed
    BHOP = All his biggest wins came from smaller guys.. pavlik, trini, winky... all his loses are from guys in equal size and his biggest wins are pascal & tarver
    Roy = PEDS
    Floyd = Missed a lot of bgi match ups along the way
