You could add Augustin Senin to Spain. One of the best fighters nobody has heard of!

Excellent list, although a lot of the fighters on it are well known even in America.

A nice list by Thistle, although I think we need to draw that line between good or great fighters deserving of more attention and those that are merely obscure or little-known, but for good reason.
Guys like George Scott and Brian Nielsen on that list come to mind...beyond being trained by Angelo Dundee (Supposedly) I can't think of why someone like Scott would merit further mention.

Boxing is facing hard times in most of America period. You can go to our own natinonal fighters and most people in this time probably don't even know about Frazier outside of Ali fights, Henry Armstrong, Ezzard Charles, Greb, etc.

For guys not born in US I'll go with Nishioka and Jim Driscoll

'Great' is a term often used for some fighters by nobody but people from that fighter's country. Australia has had numerous fighters we generally call great and by local standards they are / were. Although on the world stage they barely rate a mention, let alone for being 'great' fighters
