Im have been watching boxing for a while casually, but recently gained a more sincere interest in the sport, and want to begin boxing my self.

I was wondering which fights ( preferably on youtube ) I should watch to gain a better understanding of the sport, or actually just awesome matches in general. THanks in advance!

Just watch loads of fights, there are no right ones to watch and no wrong ones, really.

And if you do this you'll unearth some classics only purists talk about. Most of the fights I love were discovered this way. Also talk to boxing fans, even the casuals will be able to point you in the right direction, the freaks like me and some of the idiots on here will push you further towards seeing what we think are classics.

Be careful of people who say "just watch Mayweather" or "just watch Pac".

6:30 onwards look at his legs how fluid he gets back in orthodox.
(you should watch the whole fight too)

I must confess i always enjoy watching the Mike Rossman Display when he dethroned Victor Galindez, admittedly an off form Victor, even so Mike's
"Boxing-by-Numbers.." was the antidote to Victors attempted Traps and Ambushes, Elbows tucked in to the flanks, High Guard, Jabs to keep distance, quick Left hooks and right crosses, then back behind the Jab, Repeat Process...it left Victor Check-mated, in the return match a sharper Victor could Slip the Jab and get inside more, but in the first match...it was a perfect Plan stuck to, and paid results.
