Guys. We talking about guys that were caught by big shots and put out? You could have a guy like Holyfield who was knocked out by James Toney, who is a light puncher for a heavy..

How are we going to define Glass Jaw?

Dude, there's a difference between being stopped and being knocked out.... and James Toney did NOT knock out Holyfield.

Yeah, there is a difference between fighters that suffer many flash knockdowns, and fighters that must be seriously hurt in order to be knocked down..

I use Holyfield as an example to make you think.. I don't think he has a glass jaw at all. But, then I start to think about it, I don't think we have the right to say Lennox has a glass Jaw either, since he has only ever really been knocked the **** out, and on the canvas very rarely, and only when he's half assing it in the ring..

Roy Jones? On the canvas a total of what? 3 times in his career?

Versus guys like Holyfield who have been on the canvas quite a few times, but obviously have great chins.

I think there are a lot of guys out there with better than average, and average chins.. Then, we have guys that have rock heads, like James Toney, Jake Lamotta, Marvin Hagler..

Just about anybody gets caught right, they will go down. Thats the thing.. Some guys like Lennox Lewis had decent jaws, but just got over-confident/ lazy..

You think guys were throwing half assed punches at Lewis? Just about everybody he fought ended up throwing hail mary shots due to all his huggering and leaning..

Currently Wlad is the best glass chinned fighter at the top right now, TKOd 3 times, and has been knocked down 11 times. He gets rocked by punches that most decent fighters are able to shake off, watch the Brewster/Wlad 1, Brewster has him holding on for dear life after he catches him with a stiff jab in the 3rd round, Roy Jones was laughing about it during the HBO telecast.

Wlad definitely is the best glass chinned Heavyweight champion we have had for some time. Rafael Marquez is another great fighter who is pretty chinny. All of his losses have been by ko and Tim Austin had him in a bad state bfore he recovered to ko Austin, (more than likely he will have another one pretty soon ....see Marquez-Vasquez III). But despite that he has managed to beat and stop Tim Austin, Mark "Too Sharp" Jonhson, Israel Vasquez, and everybody else at 118.

Exactly, anyone that wants to question Tysons chin should watch the Razor Ruddick fights, he ate Ruddicks signature punch "The Smash" a couple times, many regarded Ruddick as heaviest puncher at the time.

Tyson had a ridiculous chin. He had to take a 10 round beating from Douglas to get KO'd, an 11 round beating from Holyfield, an 8 round beating from Lewis (who hits almost as hard as Tyson himself) He got KO'd against Williams with 20+ straight flush power shots to the head and even then he wasn't properly KO'd, he just sat there like, WTF? I can't be bothered with this **** anymore.

Tyson had a good chin, it was nowhere near glass level.

Ii hate this 'glass chin' theory.

You catch ANYONE on the chin with a precise, well timed, powerful shot and they will usually go down, full stop.

Its more a case of who's defence is so bad they allow themselves to be caught.
