He resume of wins against elite fighters is fairly thin, but he probably is the head to head dreadnought that they say he is.

Even the B crop he fought ought to have been able to manage some sort of effective resistance.

 

As I have always have said, you can only fight what is put in front of you. Promoting is for promoters, and the two camps management, not the responsibility of the fighters. Not everybody can be Muhammad Ali, who did a great job at promoting his fights with his antics.

 

I think bringing race into this is pretty laughable considering most all time great and beloved fighters are black or hispanic to be honest

And plenty of defensive boxers get criticised it's just none are famous or exposed as Floyd. How many fans on this site have seen extensive footage of Pep or know much about him?

Why all the talk of race? Most people don't like him because he's a ****, not because he's black. It shows levels of insecurity to immediately assume that's why he's immensely disliked.

And nobody who's reputable actually criticises Mayweather for not being a brawler, or not having Hearns-esque power. No-one.
