I know this list will have errors. I am just going off the top of my head. If you were to list the best Heavyweights who 1) came up from lower weights and 2) are not true heavyweights naturally. What would the list look like.

    1) Ezzard Charles. One time middleweight. He had multiple defenses of heavyweight belt.

    2) Floyd Patterson

    3) Evander Holyfield. I know it is hard to say he is not a true heavyweight. Still I think he was a natural cruiserweight who lifted his way to heavyweight?

    4) Gene Tunney

    5) Michael Spinks

    Remember....back then...being OVER 175 pounds made you a heavyweight...Marciano at 189 pounds made him a heavyweight...

Ezzard Charles,Sam Langford and Rocky Marciano. Marciano was an all time top 5 heavy until the early 60's,imo. He's been well overtaken since then. Now,I'd rate him outside the top 10.

I would argue Marciano and Dempsey definitely.

Probably contraversially, I would also say Frazier.. and possibly even Tyson.
Despite their weight being within the Heavyweight category, their overall physical size means that current coaches and promoters would probably have urged them to cut like the majority of guys who walk around at their dimensions.

It really depends on the time period, despite their size Marciano/Dempsey rarely fought bigger men (an obvious 2 examples for Dempsey though)

Yup, and if you read my post I said I was aware of the weight.
What I'm saying is, if their careers had started now, they would have been urged to cut as their height and size are incredibly small compared to some of the heavyweights coming up today.

I am also aware that their size did not prevent them winning titles.

Now either give some reasoning behind your answers or STFU
