Tyson's walk-around weight was 235lbs in the '80s! Coming in at about 217-221lbs of supremely conditioned ripped muscle to fight.
Mike was 186lbs at 13, he was a natural heavy for sure & would cut through the Klits, Haye, Adamek, Povetkin...like a hot knife through butter.

Frazier was a natural Heavyweight too, & big enough to make those Klits suffer.

If a guy fought his whole career at heavyweight then he is a heavyweight. Sure times change but in Marciano's era they had to fight 15 which required more conditioning hence less weight.

I am talking about guys who like Charles fought at middleweight as a pro. Holyfield who fought light heavy in Olympics and won Cruiserweight belt. Patterson I think he also briefly fought at middleweight.

Well as Tyson was around in the late 80s and 90s and won belt , much better divisions than the one we have today.

Any trainer in the world today given the chance to train that young Mike would jizz. Urged to "cut" haha. No way.

I stand by my point. Your mental in the face.

Chris Byrd was featherfisted, debuted at 169lbs, & only 6'0".

However, in this modern era he managed to have a very successful career, beating Vitali for the WBO title, & also winning the IBF title.

A 5'10 one handed fighter vs a 6'7 monster? Really?

So you speak for all trainers now?

Without Cus' training Tyson wouldn't have the style that allowed him to win against bigger guys, so under any other trainer his HW success would be FAR less. So yeah, I stand by my point that he would have been encouraged to cut.

Now show some reasoning that any trainer given that young Mike would 'Jizz' and have no problem keeping him at HW. Bear in mind, without Cus, he was basically just a stocky 5'10/11 black guy with an aggressive attitude.

Byrd would have had decent success in any era. And I think a better way of putting it is "he holds a victory over Klitschko." He hardly beat him. Who would you have bet on in rematch?

    Vitally Klitschko.

Fought at the 200lb limit in kickboxing matche,s while at an age where many heavyweights were contesting the title.

    Just a pumped up cruiserweight.

The light heavyweight Byrd beat him because he was never verry big in the first place!

No, you're right, size doesn't mean everything.

But an advantage of about 9 inches in height and proportionate build is a massive advantage against a guy who can only cause damage with his left hand. Especially considering the punishment Frazier would be receiving in return. For everything that is wrong with them, the klits can hit like a beast.

Bear in mind also that both klits are bigger and stronger than ali, with more reach and a tendency to lean their heads out of range. Despite being a Frazier fan, I can't help but fail to see a way in which he could win, without resorting to fan-based fantasy.

Power is useless unless you can put it on a target consistently. Without peekaboo can you really see Tyson managing that against guys consistently over 6ft?
