By "Greatest" I mean most exciting, all-action bouts. I'm looking to put together a custom set for myself with great HW fights. Obviously I'm only interested in fights that exist on tape but they don't necessarily have to be title fights.

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

Here's my list to start things off :

Muhammad Ali v Joe Frazier I & III
    Larry Holmes v Ken Norton
    Ray Mercer v Bert Cooper
Ken Norton v Jose Luis Garcia II
    Ken Norton v Jerry Quarry
    Evander Holyfield v Michael Dokes
    Evander Holyfield v Bert Cooper
Evander Holyfield v Riddick Bowe I
    George Foreman v Ron Lyle
    George Foreman v Alex Stewart
Mike Weaver v Michael Dokes II
Sonny Liston v Cleveland Williams I & II
Riddick Bowe v Andrew Golota II
    Michael Moorer v Alex Stewart
    David Tua v Ike Ibeabuchi
    Joe Louis v Max Schmeling
Joe Frazier v Jerry Quarry I

I thought I was going to have some great contributions but you took the wind out of my sails with your picks.

I'll have to come back to this.

Maybe Dempsey v. Carpentier? Just a thought.

Ah, you *******. Already listed Cooper/Mercer right off the bat.

That's one of the most brutal fights I've ever seen. Coop lifts Mecer OFF HIS ****ING FEET with certain shots.

Micheal Moorer/Bert Cooper is every bit as good, by the way.

I don't know why you listed Ken Norton v Jerry Quarry, anyway. That's just Quarry being beaten into ******ation for the duration of the fight, sadly.

I know but it's pretty amazing how much punishment Quarry can take and he does get a few shots in here & there. I'll have to watch it again to see if it's too one-sided.

Quality isn't that great but agreed it's a great fight. I'll probably go with it.

    Do you have the fight?

I could get it to you, and the quality isn't that bad.

Tyson fights are generally boring if his opponent ties him up or too one-sided to include.
Ali v Chuvalo is a very good fight but not quite what I'm after.
    Louis v Conn I possibly.

Yeah I have it and it's the silent one in colour. I think I rate it about a 5 out of 10. Did any of the networks cover this? Seems odd that they wouldn't have.

    I'd rate mine about a 7, 7.5 out of 10.

    Mines silent too.

I think it was recorded simply for archival purposes, don't quote me on that though.
