that loss has no ****ing revelance at all. If anything it does more to increase evander's legacy as he was pretty much having a heart attack in the ring :patsch

Exceptional post sir :good I too prefer resume and achievement way over H2H and you summed up the matter of tysons prime perfectly. If you ask me it's all bull**** and excuses. Let the Tyson lovers act as if 86-88 was unbeatable and was substantially better that the Tyson that fought douglas when in reality no boxer is unbeatable and Tyson just ran into the better man on the night.

The closet a heavyweight will come to undefeatable is Ali 67 personally yet I still think prime for prime Frazier still beats him and the likes of Lewis, Holmes and a few others are 50-50 fights.

If anyone is ranking Tyson as the best heavyweight of the last 25 years......surely it must be on H2H.

That would be my guess as well. Out of the six fighters listed though, if they were all to fight each other I still believe Lewis comes out with the most wins

Lennox Lewis was the greatest heavyweight of the last 25 years. Evander Holyfield would be next IMV.

    1 Lewis
    2 Wlad

these two far and away had the longest and most successful HW reigns

H2H is all hypothetical biased bull****

IMO facts > opinion when it comes to achievements

I rank Lewis ahead of the rest on that list, but that's based on overall legacy and don't know if he beats prime versions of Tyson and holyfield in a head to head sense.

My reasoning for his rating is that he defeated every man he ever fought at one point or another, had a lot of wins over ranked opposition and was pretty dominant in his later years, prior to losing to Rahman. Ad to that, two olympic medals and I'd say his legacy is pretty hard to top.. But I could see peak versions of Tyson and Holyfield having a good chance of winning against him, just can't say it with any real confidence though.

Spot on. Like you said fights against prime Tyson and Holyfield would have been interesting with both having good chances of winning. Lewis beats Bowe for me aswell the only name really missing from the 90's heavyweights and thats through no fault of his own.

its opinion that wlad and lewis had the most consecutive title defenses?? interesting, because it looks like fact that Wlad has 11 and Lewis has 9, which is much more than any of the others listed in the OP

    Actually, thats an opinion :good

You seem to have a bit of trouble distinguishing the two, let me help

"The difference between fact and opinion is that a fact is something that is empirically true and can be supported by evidence, while an opinion is a belief that may or may not be backed up with some type of evidence. "

    http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-the-difference-between-fact-and-opinion.htm

BTW, if Bowe was the most skilled 230+ how come he didnt win a gold medal like Wlad and Lennox, why did he throw his trashcan in a bin and why did he get outboxed by Andrew Golota :think

I hate to get all philosophical but this world is built on perspective and opinion, therefore your both wrong. But what really is right and wrong :hey
