now that I think about it, there aren't too many puncher-puncher matches, cuz I'm not thinking of too many

do you think that perhaps Deontay Wilder vs Fury falls into that category? I know Fury isn’t exactly a huge puncher but I think he can crack and wilder is a big hitter for sure. They had some nice exchanged in both of their fights

Agreed. Shavers showed his chin was vastly underrated. His stamina (or rather the lack of it) was his undoing.

another crazy thing about that fight is that Earnie is commonly credited as only having power in his right hand. But in fact he actually decked Lyle with his left

Interesting Observation! I don't think The Acorn was lacking power anywhere!

good point, Earnie actually was master of more punches than many heavweights in the 70s, although I say of the four devestating punches he threw, the uppercut, the hook, the straight hand, and of course, the overhand, the hook was the only one that was primarily left, that's probably why the right is more famous, his right overhand was definitely his best punch, but in this case, yes, it was his awesome left that did the damage.

Like Randall Cobb said, "he could punch on the back of the neck and break your ankle." ya, he had crippling power. I see him knocking people out with glancing blows like Foreman.
