    Marciano and Pep then there was Lamotta,Canzonari,Basilio,Pastrano,Giardello, but there were so many who had Irish or Jewis sounding names, Lou Ambers,Johnny Dundee,Joey Maxim, Sammy Mandell,Tippy Larkin,Rocky Kansas,ETC.

    Add Sammy Angott to the list of Italian fighters without Italian surnames. Also surprised no one's mentioned Basilio yet.

    Another Italian fighter that was never champ but was a great MW in the day, Lee Sala.
