Ok I might have jumped to delusions. Still, I believe you also have jumped. The thread specifically stated no Italian American's so I dont see the problem. I happen to be Italian -American, and can remember being told that I am not Italian cos I was born here. All countries feel the same way, for example Mexican's and Mexican-American, Puerto Rican and Puerto Rican born in the states, Irish and Irish-Americans. It's alright we have made a great history as Italian-American's. Maybe you should start a thread, asking for the greatest ever Italian-American's which we can show more all time greats than the boot. I am sure the person who started the thread didnt mean anything by starting the thread.
I didn't mean for the thread to be racist, simply wanted to know who was the best boxer that has Italian citizenship.
I don't see the "racism" angle here...I for one am uh,..ahem,...a "Caucasian" of a basic Scots-Irish blend, but it matters not to me, as I have perhaps more Latino favorites than any other variety...American blacks, Italians, Italian-Americans, British, Irish, Scottish, etc.,..... race, nationality, whatever, play no part in my appreciating a fighter....and frankly, unless I'm blind, I haven't noticed any outright or implied racism around here.
Dulio Loi, Young Corbett III, and Johnny Dundee all rank above Nino Benvenuti on an all time Italian list, imo.
