Jewish fighters have played a fundamental part in the history of the sport and make up one of the most fascinating parts of its social history. The upcoming documentary should shed some light on the matter. In view of this I would be interested to see lists of your top 5 or top 10 jewish fighters of all time.

A clear top 6 for me are: 1. Benny Leonard 2. Barney Ross 3. Ted 'Kid' Lewis 4. Abe Attell 5. Lew Tendler 6. Jackie 'Kid' Berg After that there's the likes of Al McCoy, Battling Levinsky, Joe Choynski, Benny Bass, Louis Kid Kaplan, Jackie Fields, Maxie Rosenbloom etc. that are all up there.
A few more--Solly Krieger, Jack Bernstein, Louis Kid Kaplan, Benny Bass, Abe Goldstein, Robert Cohen, Alphonse Halimi, Corporal Izzy Schwartz Among the contenders--Bob Pastor, Abe Simon, King Levinsky, Art Lasky, Al Kaufmann
Some of mine were mentioned by others first also. One I haven't seen is Johnny Risko. Deserves a mention.
Most probably have Benny Leonard at 1 but I feel Barney Ross was the greatest jewish fighter. 1. Barney Ross 2. Benny Leonard 3. Ted Kid Lewis
