That has to be one of the worst stoppages ever.

So many Calzaghe haters out there.....and I bet most of you are Yanks!!
Try telling Jeff Lacy he had no punching power, he used the guy as a heavy bag for 12 rounds for christ sake!!

The only thing that annoys me about JC is the fact that he didn't fight the likes of B-Hop and RJJ earlier in his career when they were both at their peaks, that would have been interesting, however I don't think it's a given that both would have beat him!!

Didn't they ask B-Hop to go to England to fight? If so, you knew that was unrealistic. Besides, how many times did Calzaghe BLATANTLY duck Glen Johnson? :D

Hopkins asked for 3 million. Calzaghe offered 3 million. The fight would take place in America at 168. When Hopkins was offered his 3 million, he asked for 6 million. I'm not entirely sure what Hopkins received for the Trinidad fight, but accrding to many on here, it wasn't 3 million.

he's a an exciting fighter a great one, but those premature stoppages don't help his legacy and not giving the rematch to Hopkins in a fight some think he lost don't help either. same thing happened when he fought manfredo.

    lol at you calzaghe haters

he defeated the best from america and europe

deal with it, you american fans are jealous of him because he embarrased every american fighter he fought. he was a great warrior, one of the greatest of all times. the fact so many people keep banging on about him shows how great he was

    impressive resume...slight problem.

despite 0 wins he is struggling to get respect from non british fans.
dude the 2 american greats that he defeated was done on the very tail end of the boxers careers!

fraction of his their old selves. Cmon how old was hopkins and RJJ when calzaghe won over them?! Whatch thier fights in the early 90's.

You will know the difference BUT if you just to say a win is a win so be it! There is nothing for us to argue!
