not the greatest, but worth a mention: James Toney vs. Vasily Jirov Jirov really gave his all in that fight, he gave a 110% and kept coming the whole 12 rounds. He was too tired to even raise his arms after the fight. I think he would have smoked any other CW with his relentless pressure and aggression (except for Quawi and Holyfield). Unfortunately for him, Toney had a good night, was in great shape for once, and Jirovs style played right into Toneys hands (or rather: fists).
Hide vs Bowe. Despite Hide being up and down like a yoyo he clearly showed heart and had Bowe out on his feet several times.
What did the ts actually say? Right "Not a controversial loss, a bout when you know said boxer has been beaten" But I know what you mean!
Hearns fight against Hagler in 1985 did not hurt his legacy much, same as Arguello's against Pryor did not hurt him either. Great fights seem to help both fighters.
Golota - Bowe I and II was quite possibly, the biggest ever ass kicking ever endured by a loser towards the winner.
Dale Brown Vs. O'Neil Bell, by far! This fight was shown live TV. This was in Bell's home town, but even Bell's home town fans were booing it was so bad. He had Bell out on his feet several times, bloody, really hurt, it was a mismatch! Not close at all. One sided fight! Brown was never given a rematch either. Network and the promoter should have ordered an investigation, but nothing was ever done.
Foreman-Cotto. I liked foreman, he never backed down, really became a fan after that, how could you not!
