We all know that after the brutalization and absolute hell of a beating RD bestowed upon Davey Moore, he would go up in weight and tweak up his style a little bit

He would go down the path of the defensive counter puncher, an intelligent boxer who'd use the decades of experience he had on the sport in order to outsmart his opponents, mainly to secure a decisive blow that would make him go predator and finish them

RD would best 4 boxers deserving of the Hall Of Fame, those being Hagler (arguably), Camacho the first time around (flat out robbery imo, unarguably), Locomotora Castro and of course Iran Barkley (also Vinny Paz who is in the IBHOF, but i wouldn't consider him a Hall of Famer despite his incredible comeback).

This proves that, while El Cholo was past his physical prime, he still had his vast skillset available to stand proud against the rest of the division.

All of that being said, taking into consideration these achievements and points, what Great Middleweight would lose to this version of Durán? Who'd you pick to be the perfect supper for the Old Man?

There's a number of middleweights a motivated Duran would dine on. They're not ' great' middleweights though.
    The list is long though.

Randy Turpin ,Hugo Corro,Vito Antuofeemo and Alan Minter. 1980's paper titlist Frank Tate struggled with a aged Sibson and Duran feasts on him.

Fights with boxing Hall of Famers James Toney and Mike Mccallun would be very interesting and I think the 1983 Middleweight Duran beats both

Duran should not have been fighting at middleweight, really. Just goes to show how good he was.

That's right. Come to think of it--really do not like that Joppy bout at all. And I did not think much of that guy. a bad fight to watch.

Wonder how an older, slower SRR would do, the same that lost to Bassilio?
    Would be an interesting fight.

Probably still beats Duran, take the SRR from the Moyer bouts and I'll agree.

A fight with Bobo Olson would've been interesting, though I don't like seeing both losing.

I wouldn't rule out that the Duran of the Hagler fight might be able to sneak out a dec over LaMotta (even if only once in a series), given that LaMotta had close/tough fights & even a loss vs. other smaller boxer-fighters like Zivic & Bell.

Duran might outsmart and decision Ketchell. I imagine Stanley's aggressive style might play into Duran's hands. Not guaranteed though as hard to judge how hard Stanley really hit.

Duran 1983 was a tactical defensive master with the same ability to muster out severe punishment.
I know this is going off the thread question but fights vs 1990 wbo champ Nigel Benn & wbc champ julian jackson would be fun to watch or early 90's light middleweight champ Terry Norris

Ketchel almost beat Sam Langford and had a 94% KO rate.

He could beat latter stage champion Robinson.

Well i don't see him KO'ing Duran and i see little chance of him winning on points. I think Duran is miles ahead on skill and too good to be sparked. Bob was obviously a freak puncher but ain't putting them together and disguising them with jabs and feints via both body and eyes like Hearns, which is what it took to get Duran clean. I don't think Bob would transition well to the modern era, "as is".
