1. Harry Greb 2. Bob Fitzsimmons 3. Mickey Walker 4. Bernard Hopkins 5. Jeff Clarke 6. Stanley Ketchel 7. Ray Robinson 8. Carlos Monzon 9. Marvin Hagler 10. Charley Burley 11. Dick Tiger 12. Mike Gibbons 13. Tommy Ryan 14. Tiger Flowers 15. Marcel Cerdan I am not looking for fighters with tidy records at middleweight I am looking for gods.
I was considering Fitzsimmons, also, but he only remained at middleweight a very short time, same with RJJ, Jr. Also, Cerdan is high on my list. Monzon still is number one, though. I don't know much about Jeff Clarke. What makes you rate him so high?
I wish I knew. I'm itching for some of that milk! I don't know actually it's just some girl I pulled off a porno site.
H2H middleweights. Robinson Jones Jr. Monzon Hagler Hopkins Burley *Very hard to decide. IMO the deepest division besides lightweight. Addendum: A fight between Monzon/Hagler is a tough decision for me. Historical middleweights. Monzon Greb Robinson Hagler Hopkins
Janitor, why Hagler so low? Seldom have I seen him at such a low position. 5 spots below Hopkins? I just can't see that.
I'm not trying to be a "johnny one-note", you know, someone who says the same thing all the time, but Carlos Monzon was, in my opinion, the best of all. That means better than Robinson, Hagler, Hopkins, anyone you care to name. He was, along with Ali and Duran, part of the "Big Three" of the seventies, and unlike the other two, was TRULY dominant, and left the game unbeaten as champion, with 100 fights, never stopped, and after fighting EVERYBODY, including the excellent Rodrigo Valdez at the age of 34 and 35. It's obvious, and becomes more so as time goes on.
