Yes, but WHO did they lose their belts to and why? Holyfield lost his title the first time via decision in a classic war to a concencus best contender who some favoured to beat him. Lewis was Ko'd in two rounds by a massive underdog who some felt was still more or less a journeyman rather than a deserving contender. Incidently, Lewis lost his title twice. The second time, anther mediocrity claimed his belt.

He wasn't the real champion when McCall beat him, just a big contender. And McCall wasn't THAT big an underdog. It's not like he was a chump. He was known for having a punch and a granite chin, and in his last 10 fights, he'd racked up 8 KOs, 1 UD and a split decision loss to 45-1 Tony Tucker, that 1 loss of Tuckers coming at the hands of a prime Tyson.

Rahman was Lewis losing the title of heavyweight champ.

Holyfield is the greatest, if you include his career as Cruiserweight.

    Then Lewis, and finally Tyson.

    So, P4P:

    1. Holy
    2. Lewis
    3. Tyson

    Only Heavyweights:

    1. Lewis
    2. Holy
    3. Tyson

Lennox. Only two losses, only down twice his whole career, undisputed champion, and went out on top via TKO against a top contender.

And he was classy and professional outside of the ring. Not the most charismatic of champs, but he never embarrassed the sport.

i'm going to have to go with lewis. though i'm a big big holyfield fan. i cant overlook the fact that he could not handle lewis. and mike acted like a jerk at a nightclub with me. ever since that night. i've put the jinx on him, for being an arce hole.

Holyfield because he stood toe to toe with best in the past two decades and still went 12 with a champ at age 45. He drew with Lewis and beat Tyson twice. Quickly became champ at cruiser. Had to deal with size disadvantages. Holyfield is also the only 4 time champ of the world.

Lewis beat an over the hill Tyson so don't get carried away with this.

    Tyson burned out too early.

For me this can go either way, depending on how you look at it.

If you are talking about the most impressive career period, to include amateur and a list of who beat who, than Lennox Lewis is your man. Gold medal, 3 time champ, great list of competition.

If you are talking about accomplishments, what a man has done, than Holyfield is your man. Cruiser champ, 4 time heavy champ and Olympic Silver medal.

And finally, if you are talking about skill and talent, Mike Tyson is your man. I strongly believe that he is more talented and skilled than Holyfield and Lennox.

if you count Holyfields cruiserweight accomplishments then he wins it.

    if not then Lewis.

Sorry "Iron Mick", but I'm not British either, in fact I'm not from anywhere in the UK. I am from the USA, and I voted for Lennox becase I think he was MUCH better than Evander and Mike. He did beat both of them...

Also, people that are voting for Mike based on his prime only.. well thats not the point! You should judge based upon the fighter's entire career, and if you do that Mike is clearly the worst (though his achievements in the 80s still make him a decent fighter overall), with Evander coming in a close second after Lennox.

When comparing Lennox and Evander even though Evander lost twice (and the first time he got his ass kicked!), he was a tremendous amateur just like Lennox, and was the legit Cruiserweight champ before he even ever fought at heavyweight!

No, that would be specifically what the OP is asking you NOT to do.

Lewis based on being consistent, even though he had 2 KO losses, he sought immediate rematches and won them. He was the champ for a longer time than the other two. He also has wins over the other two.

Holyfield is in the same category as DLH, they both fought damn near EVERYBODY, but they didnt always win.

After Douglas, Tyson never really got back on top.

Most people have Lennox in the top 10 all time heavy, the other 2 are usually top 15 or top 20.
