If I may ask why is whitaker above Pac in a lot of lists? Pacquiao has a slightly better resume, 8 division champ, his reign outlasts pea. Just because whitaker would have schooled him h2h doesnt make him rank above. Its pretty clear actually, with jones or whitaker being a close 2/3.
This. I would rank Mayweather higher, Chavez a little lower, Hopkins and Holyfield a little lower and I think Tyson should be on the list; but I can still get behind your list. I love Pac, but Whitaker is better. It breaks my heart that so few people are giving Whitaker the credit he deserves. Also, I think Hopkins is getting over-rated (not on this list). Don't get me wrong, he belongs in the discussion. I just can't see him as being better than all of the great fighters that have been around in the last 25 years...
Because He's slick and Black!! But the truth is Pac is way ahead on anybody!! Here's mine: 1. Pac- No Arguments!! He has it all.. record breaking titles in 8th wt classes. Fought and beat the best in his generation. 2. RJJ, He's a distant 2nd, He's dominant in the 90s although with thin resume. 3. Bhop - Consistency for a LOng time but he's Boring. 4. DLH - Fought everybody just didnt win it all. 5. Whitaker- Boring but with skills but reigns in the weakest era. 6. Mosley - Fought everybody but cant beat certain styles. 7. Mayweather - because of him ducking a lot of Prime fighters he belongs here. Old DLH & MOsley in his resume doesnt cut it. Pac proved he can do easier. Fat JMM & Chinny Corrales doesnt do it either. 8. Morales- his win against Pac noses the 2. 9. JMM -Getting a better showing against Pac edges MAB 10 Barrera- I forgot about Chavez & tyson!! Insert Chavez with Mosley.
Seeing as everyone is making lists, here we go. 1. Pernell Whitaker. 2. Manny Pacquiao. 3. Roy Jones Jr. 4. Bernard Hopkins. 5. Julio Cesar Chavez. 6. Oscar de la Hoya. 7. Floyd Mayweather Jr. 8. Marco Antonio Barerra. 9. Sugar Shane Mosley. 10. Erik Morales. 11. Lennox Lewis 12. Evander Holyfield. I could certainly rank more people whose names I feel need to be in there such as Tyson, Calzaghe, Norris, Wright, Lopez etc but I don't really want to go beyond 10, yet I have to include Barrera, Morales, Lewis and Holyfield. I've also divided them into groups of where I think they can freely be moved around.
Its tough to say in this one because too many great fighters interlap. However i will leave Whitaker and Chavez out because they will throw my list off. I think they are above the rest. Hopkins would be my pick after them and he is creeping up on those two...
you have proven yourself an idiot and a troll, if you think Whitaker is boring. you don't know boxing, FACT :deal
