Christ, I already listed S. Mamby earlier as an ATG who owns the most losses on a pro record....... I am prolly the ONLY sum ***** who feels S. Mamby deserves H.O.F. deep consideration...... WORD!

I don't think Foreman gained much muscle mass at all during his comeback. He was just heavier. Foreman was by nature a big boned, heavily-muscled man with broad shoulders and thick legs. You add 30-40lbs of mostly fat on top of that, and you are going to have a bigger, stronger guy. Granted, Foreman probably added a bit of muscle along with the fat, but not much.

Totally agreed. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

We discussed this before during a thread you created in June, 2008. Here might be an opportune moment to revisit that previous conversation:

Not saying this proves the use of muscle building foreign substances, but it doesn't rule them out either. We do know that Toney got busted for illegal performance drug use, so obviously the absence of ripped definition does not automatically absolve one of suspicion. Hence, testing for all, however flawed and lagging the quality and reliability of detection remains behind the progress of the drugs and sophistication of the users themselves.

Old Archie was my personal favorite he fought Ali in his 50's and landed a few noteworthy shots....Hopkins improved at 175lbs and in his 40's and Glen Johnson just impressed me with his recent KO over Alan Green, he is a fighter that has improved with age...Archie Moore had his best win streak and victory's over top heavy's and light heavy's leading up to Marciano and he beat some punchers also

Holyfield's victory over Valuev is worth a mention here. Haye's reputation amongst casual fans is largely built on his fight with Valuev, but 46 year old Holyfield beat him in much better fashion. I'm not a big fan of Evander, but credit where its due

Jersey Joe Walcott deserves a mention though he's probably not the best old man.

I would go with Moore and then Hopkins over Foreman. Hopkins made a perfect transition into his 40 year old boxing career and has beaten some very credible fighters while hardly taking any punishment in the ring. Very intelligent fighter. Foreman would be next as his best win was over Moorer who was solid but not elite.
