Henry Maske's brilliant destruction of Virgil Hill ranks as the greatest achievement in modern Fistiana. Surely much higher than Foreman's fluke win against Moorer.

Beating a top 10 fighter at 43 years of age after an 11 year retirement is pretty damn impressive.

  8. i agree man, i am the biggest fan of ali, he is my hero, but the facts are facts.obviously prime vs prime ali would win. but honestly a prime holyfield89-91 would be a hard match even for a prime ali 66, noway a green ali62 would beat him

Combat, I like your enthusiasm but not the name-calling. All you people here who use cheap insults and throw garbage at other posters need to grow up and act your age, not your shoe size. Why is it so hard for a lot of you to avoid the cheap stuff? It's rubbish and makes you look childish.

Patterson and Marciano in their primes wouldn't be walks in the park for prime Holyfield. Either fight would be awesome in itself, you'd have to agree. Patterson's handspeed far exceeds Holyfields and I'd bet on him outboxing Evander over 12 or 15 rounds either way. Holyfield beats Patterson by KO if Floyd shows up scared like he did against Liston.

Marciano vs Holyfield would be a technical slugfest and again, Holyfield would not destroy Marciano as easy as you think IMO. You're discrediting the only undefeated heavyweight champion and perhaps aside from Joe Frazier as having the most stamina ever for a heavyweight. You're not giving Patterson or Marciano any type of credit they earned as champions by suggesting Holyfield would walk all over them.

The greatest old men boxers, Archie Moore, Jersey Joe Walcott, Larry Holmes, Foreman. Surprisingly, not many have mentioned Jack Johnson even though he didn't really fight as an old man after finishing a prison term. Johnson was still whippin' the best prospects at any weight any time he'd visit Stillman's to watch the sparring.

Now I am convinced you are a little punk and even more convinced of your ignorance and childishness. I am sure of one thing if you were standing next to me now you would get severely punk-slapped, both hither and fro

  12. do not deceive yourself , in the real life you might clean my shoes with your mouth, not more

  13. i have motives for the insults;)

if you check other threads you can see that i respect patterson like the hell. simply prime holyfield would beat marciano and patterson.

I agree. It brings the respectability of the classic forum way down.

I'd say it's 50/50 whether Holyfield beats Marciano and Patterson. Tyson quoted Holyfield as a first class counterpuncher which hold merit. Patteron had arguably the fastest heavyweight hands and I'd bet on him beating Holyfield to the punch. Marciano would break Evander down in the body but not without absorbing a serious beating from Evander.
