Calzaghe fought the best available who were willing to face him, as has Froch, only Calzaghe has the greater resume due to who he got to fight. Also look at not only who they fought but what they achieved
You're kidding yourself. It wasn't a close fight. Carl rallied late that's all. Also, Andre had a double fracture of his left hand. Anyone who knows anything about boxing, knows that Joe vs Andre would have been a close, competitive fight. Again, Joe didn't face too many southpaws. So you can't just dismiss Andre Dirrell. He's got a lot of very good attributes.
You note Wards hand. Is it not a bit strange how you feel Ward went into this fight with a double fracture, but delayed the fight when there was still a long time ahead due to a small cut, that Froch commented would have healed before the fight? You fail to note how Froch went in with an elbow injury that prevented him being able to pull the glove up. How do you feel Froch rallied when if you look at the scoring 2 judges felt Froch was in it from early on. Show your card Loudon. In my opinion it was one of those fights where even if you scored wide, many rounds were close
Joe is more accomplished but isn't as battle tested as Froch ..Its says more when your willing to travel and fight guys in their prime..
Compared to Calzaghe, Froch is a clubfighter. Calzaghe beat prime fighters, that beat Froch when they were semi-shot.
