Yeah- Floyd really isn’t in the conversation. Gans is a top 20 lock Mayweather is top? I’m not sure where I rate him.

Subtle? He is great by any level of viewing!
Madness. I don’t rate him as highly as most but saying they don’t see much in him? Lol

I tend to agree, Duran was so subtle many don't pick up on his feints, head movements etc.

I lean towards Greb as p4p number 1, however Duran would prob be 2 an unreal fighter.

    most skilled fighter ever?

The films of Leonard the lightweight shows superiority over Duran. Duran was also quite lead footed and his comp at 135 was just average. a good fighter but not the greatest

This is a hard question. Almost as hard as p4p lists. Everyone has a favorite style and personality.

Frankly, what annoys me a bit here is (in general): Somebody creates something that takes maybe a little bit of effort and contributes something to the forum's activity (e.g., a top list of fighters). Afterwards come the cherry-picking critics and know-it-alls (How could you rate fighter x on No. 50 etc...)

    Then you have to justify...

I explained before why I included Mayweather who was still 6times The Ring P4P fighter of the year and somebody already voted for him here (but nobody for Joe Louis).

I am not a fan of him either and I am not a Mayweather expert. I know he tells a lot of stuff (but it's pretty uninteresting to me) and is disputed which is also a reason why I have him in this poll (not my personal rating!).

Anyway, there are 9 other choices and you can write your own favorites in this thread.

Also, give me Benny Leonard instead of Floyd on the poll.

Well, there are many great old boxers like: Joe Gans, Archie Moore, Benny Leonard, Mickey Walker, Tony Canzoneri, Barney Ross, Willie Pep, Sandy Saddler, Jack Britton, Jimmy McLarnin, Jimmy Wilde etc….
    You can mention them.
As I wrote earlier, there are only 10 choices.
Also, I didn't want to take only old fighters (more of a mix). If someone is interested in a comparison or poll between older fighters or boxers at a certain period of time, just open a new thread.

I voted Robinson. He has the most evidence. Not only in resume but his ability is the prototype of what a flawless fighter is.

With that said just an honorable mention to one we can't forget. Benny Leonard. If there was the standard before Sugar Ray it was Benny Leonard. He was that good.

No worry, buddy, it's already forgotten.
I mean a respectful disagree, objective criticism with good arguments is always appropriate.

I just mean, in general, stuff like: you're full of ****, you know nothing, liar, you are delusional etc... which I read sometimes here (rather in older threads) doesn't belong to that. Maybe some of that stuff is just fun or slang and I don't get it because I am not a native speaker. Well, but the internet today (you know what I mean) it's not the everyday language.

Your post, on the other hand, is harmless (just Mickey Mouse ;))

Whatever. I can understand the criticism of Mayweather. I could also choose Manny Pacquiao, that I personally prefer, as a boxer from today. But I thought Mayweather could be more interesting in a poll because he has more haters but maybe also more hardcore fans (but I am not sure about).

You're right .. I should have contributed instead of trying to be clever or a smart ass ... If you are looking for more of a mix of greater "newer" fighters , I would rate plenty over Floyd ... RJJ, Arguello, JCC, Hagler,, off the top of my head ..
