    Oh forgot to mention Lennox Lewis putting things right against Hasim Rahman in scintillating style - that was a great performance from him and you could see how much it meant to him too

    Good call. Both fighters gave outstanding performances there

    Norton's three performances against Ali are very good too, in my opinion

    1.Frazier vs Ali, this wasnt just a WAR. Both fighters demonstrated skill, but Fraziers will was just too commendable to put as number 2. This was the best performance in HW history

    We tend to grade current fights and TV-viewed fights as great performances.
    We have the luxury of scrutinizing them.

    But Billy Conn vs Joe Louis was a 'great performance' by a little guy who was
    willed by a whole country of teenage kids hoping Billy would do it.
    Under-sized and undergunned versus a 'machine' like Joe Louis.

    Yes, that was a massively great performance..which leads me to include one of the great heavyweight performances that has impressed the **** out of me...Patterson-Johansson II.
