They were good. Mancini sure had no answer for Bramble. I know Mancini was a better fighter than Bramble but Bramble's style and southpaw stance and Bramble physical strength really countered what Mancini had. I saw Bramble in 1992 at the Haugen/Mancini fight in Reno and I touched his shoulder to talk to him. Strong guy. You could feel it. I actually spoke to Mills Lane that day also. It was April of 1992... Roy Jones fought Serwano and some NFL player fought that day also.

Good story .. And I believe Bramble actually described even himself that way in an interview .. He knew it was the key to his success and you could see it .. It was one of the best

If I had to pick a couple of favorites, it would probably be those two bouts.

I think Chacon deserves a mention. His late round snatching of the bout from Bazooka Limon, in the fourth of their epic series (and the only one for a title, too - if memory serves) was just the stuff that legendary nights are made of.

I think Curry losing to Honeyghan took away that somewhAt invincible aura Donald had. Was not the same fighter going in against Mike. And it showed. For me, Curry vs McCrory is probably tops, then LaPorte-Lockridge.

Leonard vs Hagler. Nobody gave him a chance in hell ...and i don't blame them

Chavez-Rosario was probably the most complete performance I've seen that decade (and arguably in any other decade since). Chavez was simply magnificent and rendered a high quality and ultra dangerous opponent in Chapo totally ineffectual.

One of my most watched fights and one of the greatest technical displays by JCC that I've yet seen.

I was just going to mention Curry - McCrory when I saw your post. A legit unification bout and a stunning performance. Nobody else did that to Milt.

Sanchez dethroning Lopez was a stunning performance when you consider Lopez’ stature, Sanchez’ youth and status as a decided underdog. Sanchez looked like a veteran in that performance showing great skill, perfect poise and patience beyond his years.

Gomez outlasting Pintor was up there for me along with Saad coming back and stopping Lopez.

True, but I think Don got Milt at the right time. Don't see him doing it to Milt, or even beating him 2 years earlier when they were supposed to originally tangle.
