Seeing as some posters on here believe the future of the Heavyweight division and Rugby League lies with Polynesian athletes I thought it would be interesting to see who you would rate as the 3 greatest Ploynesuan boxers and why. I'll kick it off; 1. David Tua, wreaked havoc through the fringe contenders in the Heavyweight division and fought for a legitimate world title against the top Heavy at the time. 2. Maselino Masoe, fought in two Olympic Games and won the WBA middleweight title. 3. Paea Wolfgramm, won Olympic silver medal and fought some good opposition as a pro (Klitschko, Sanders, Gonzalez)
first, this may be of interest... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Pacific_Culture_Areas.jpg also, its a no brainer. they are big. they are here by the thousand. and now they have opportunity. a world heavy title will come within 10 years.
Herbert Slade fought John L Sullivan for the Heavyweight Championship of the World. Probably need the input of some Kiwi posters though as they would have more knowledge on this subject.
